Buyer guide

ThebestgolfclubsoftwareforUKclubs(2026)

A practical guide to the main tee sheet, booking and membership systems for UK and Irish golf clubs: BRS Golf, IntelligentGolf, ClubV1 and us. We say what each is genuinely best for. Yes, we put ourselves first. We also tell you exactly when one of the others is the better pick.

How to read this list

Howwerankedthese

This is our site, so of course we start with ourselves. We have tried to make the rest genuinely useful. Every system below is a real, established choice, and for each we say what it is best at and where it falls short, using publicly available information.

We build for pay-and-play and hybrid clubs that want simple, openly priced booking, payments and membership, and that keep their handicapping software separate. If your club lives on competitions and WHS handicapping, or you want a golfer marketplace filling your tee times, one of the incumbents below will suit you better. We say which.

The order after us reflects general presence in UK golf, not a strict scoreboard. The right pick depends on what your club runs on. Here is the shape of the market at a glance.

Based on publicly available information from each vendor and golf-industry reporting, July 2026. Only Golf Club Software publishes full pricing; incumbent pricing is quote-based and described in general terms. ClubV1 payment rate is its published ClearAccept e-commerce rate; our 1% is a platform fee on top of Stripe processing.

Number one

1.GolfClubSoftware

Best for pay-and-play and hybrid clubs that want simple, openly priced booking, payments and membership.

We are the independent, openly priced option. Booking, green fees, payments and membership sit in one system on one login, priced by course size on the website. Card payments are a flat 1 percent plus Stripe fees, with no booking commission, ever. You can see the price before you talk to anyone.

We are honest about the limits. We do not do competitions, WHS handicapping, EPOS or a golfer network, and we run alongside the handicapping software you already use rather than replacing it. If those are the heart of your club, one of the systems below is a better fit. If you want the booking and payments side to be simple and transparent, start with us.

The incumbents

2.BRSGolf

Best for visitor-heavy clubs that want a tee-time marketplace.

BRS is one of the biggest tee-sheet names in UK and Irish golf and is often rated the best at tee booking. Owned by GolfNow, now part of the US media group Versant, it comes with the GolfNow marketplace that can sell your spare visitor tee times. For a club that wants help filling quiet mornings, that reach is real.

The trade-off is the marketplace itself. Selling green fees through GolfNow means commission or handing over tee-time inventory, and the golfer becomes GolfNow's customer too. Pricing is not published, competitions and WHS run through a Golf Genius partnership rather than natively, and you are dealing with a large US-owned group.

The incumbents

3.ClubV1

Best for membership-led members clubs and the HowDidiDo network.

ClubV1, from Club Systems, is deep on membership and competitions and plugs into HowDidiDo, which reaches a very large number of golfers. For a traditional members club that lives on subscriptions and a full competition calendar, it is a capable, established choice.

It is also a sprawl of brands (ClubV1, Club Systems, HowDidiDo, CloudPOS and ClearAccept) on separate sites and, until a 2026 relaunch, separate apps. It is owned by ClearCourse, a private-equity-backed software group. Pricing is by demo only.

The incumbents

4.IntelligentGolf

Best for competitions and WHS handicapping.

IntelligentGolf is the competitions and handicapping specialist, licensed and trusted for everything from the club medal to elite qualifying. If those are the centre of your club, it is genuinely excellent at them.

It is owned by ClearCourse, the same private-equity-backed software group that owns ClubV1, so the two are stablemates rather than true rivals. Pricing is quote-based with handicapping charged separately, and some golfers find the booking screens dated.
